With the school season here and everybody preparing to get their children back in their routines, it’s easy to forget about the general maintenance of our pets. However, some things you can’t ignore in order to keep your pets healthy. Here are some things to keep in mind, and some new pet grooming coupons we have to help your furry friends if you don’t have time.
As a rule of thumb, your pet needs grooming every 6 to 8 weeks.
However, at times life can get in the way and we might not always have the budget to have our pets’ hair cut. So there are a couple of things that you can do. We talked about walk-in services. These services help with the care of your pet during tight budget times. Take advantage of these services to keep your pet’s ears and nails cleaned and trimmed once a month. This will make sure that your pets are at least protected against ear infections and that they are able to comfortably walk. This, again, will also help to make sure your pets quick doesn’t grow out. In turn, this will ensure your pet’s nails can be clipped as short as possible.
Along with general maintenance of the ears in the nails, you should also be aware of proper brushing.
If you have a long-haired pet, you should make sure that they are properly brushed them out at least once a week. Taking at least 15 minutes to do this can save you money on your next groom. Matting can cause several issues like bacterial infections, bruising to the skin, and open sores. Regular brushing is simple and helps to eliminate the risk of any of these issues occurring.
